Joshua Diliberto

Volunteer Coordinator

Joshua A. Diliberto is an existential-humanistic psychotherapist living in North Carolina. He founded Examined Life in 2017, where he integrates psychology with yoga, trauma care, and East-West wisdom teachings. Joshua received a master of arts in clinical mental health counseling and bachelor of arts in philosophy from UNC Charlotte. He is currently a teaching assistant with the Existential-Humanistic Institute.

For a decade he has been working with a large medical group in the south-east region of the United States on integrating mental health care and medicine. Joshua was integral to the standardization and expansion of the Integrated Care Training Program for master and doctoral level students in therapy training. The program worked to evolve traditional medical paradigms to more whole person centers of care, and enhance paraprofessional collaboration. His current work in this capacity centers on increasing trauma sensitivity and resilience building practices in the work environment by facilitating experiential trainings in partnership with 12 Sparrows and in collaboration with the county health department.

Other passions of Joshua’s existence include enjoying and creating music, tea ceremony, dancing, gardening, anything outdoors, especially hiking and cycling, good food, travel, and good friends.
